Domain Whois
Free online domain Whois lookup tool, RDAP registration info
About Domain WHOIS
Looks up domain registration data using RDAP (the Registration Data Access Protocol, the successor to WHOIS) via the rdap.org bootstrap endpoint. It returns the domain name, registry handle, status flags, registration/expiration/last-changed dates, name servers, and registrant fields (name, organization, email) when the registry exposes them. Direct links to ICANN Lookup, whois.com, and who.is are provided for cross-checking.
How to Use
1. Enter a domain (any leading https:// or http:// and any trailing path are stripped automatically). 2. Click Lookup or press Enter. 3. A Domain Info card lists each returned field as a label/value row. If rdap.org returns an error or the domain is not found, a yellow error banner shows the HTTP status and message. 4. Use the three external-lookup links to verify on ICANN Lookup, whois.com, or who.is.
RDAP Fields and Privacy Limits
The tool queries https://rdap.org/domain/<domain> and reads the JSON response: ldhName becomes Domain, handle becomes Handle, status becomes a comma-separated Status list, events become registration/expiration/last-changed dates, nameservers become a comma-separated list, and the first entity's vCard yields Registrant (fn), Organization (org), and Email (email). Many TLDs (especially ccTLDs and GDPR-protected registries) redact or omit registrant name/email, so those rows may be absent even for a registered domain.
