MAC Address Vendor Lookup
Free online MAC address vendor lookup, no installation required. Based on IEEE OUI database
About MAC Lookup
Looks up the manufacturer (vendor) behind a MAC address by matching its 24-bit OUI (Organizationally Unique Identifier) prefix against a locally bundled IEEE OUI dataset at src/data/mac-vendors.json. The lookup is entirely offline after the dataset loads; no request is made to any external service.
How to Use
1. Enter a MAC address in any common format (00:1A:2B:3C:4D:5E, 00-1A-2B-3C-4D-5E, or 001A2B3C4D5E). 2. Click Lookup (or press Enter). Only the first 6 hex characters (the OUI) are used. 3. The result card shows the OUI code, the vendor name, and the country when available. Use Copy to copy the OUI.
Dataset and Failure Modes
The tool reads from a bundled JSON file loaded once and cached for the session. If the dataset file is missing or fails to load, the input is disabled and a data-missing warning is shown. A lookup that finds no matching OUI returns a red not-found message. Randomized or private MAC addresses (common on modern phones) will not match any vendor.
