What is Text to Speech?
Text to Speech (TTS) technology converts text into audible speech. This tool uses the browser's Web Speech API, requiring no software installation or plugins, reading your input text directly in the browser. Supports selecting different voices, adjusting rate and pitch.
How to Use Text to Speech
Enter the text you want to read in the text box, select a voice from the dropdown menu, use sliders to adjust rate and pitch, then click the "Speak" button. The browser will start reading the text, click "Stop" to pause at any time.
Voice Options Explained
Voice: Select different voices, options vary by browser. Rate: Adjust speaking speed, 0.5x is slow, 2x is fast. Pitch: Adjust voice pitch, higher values mean higher pitch.
▶Why are there no voice options?
The voice list is provided by the browser and operating system. First-time use may require waiting a few seconds for the voice list to load. If the list is empty, check browser settings or update your browser.
▶What languages are supported?
Depends on the voice packages installed on your system. Most modern browsers include voices in multiple languages, including Chinese, English, Japanese, etc.
▶Can I download the audio?
Currently this tool uses browser's built-in speech synthesis and does not support direct audio file download. For audio downloads, please use professional TTS services.
