Article Auto Formatter
Free online article formatter, no installation required. Auto-format paragraph spacing and punctuation
About Article Formatter
Normalize messy pasted prose into clean, structured paragraphs. The formatter collapses extra spaces, unifies line breaks (CRLF to LF), caps runs of blank lines, optionally breaks sentences on Chinese (。!?,;:) and Latin (.!?) terminators, and can indent the first line of each paragraph by a configurable number of spaces.
How to Use
1. Paste your article into the Input textarea. 2. Pick a Line Break mode: Single or Double. 3. Choose an Indent Size of 0, 2, or 4 spaces. 4. Toggle Indent First Line, Remove Extra Spaces, and Fix Punctuation as needed. 5. Click Format and copy the output with the Copy button.
Formatting Options
Line Break controls whether paragraphs are joined with one or two newlines. Indent Size (0/2/4) prepends that many spaces to the first line of every paragraph when Indent First Line is on. Remove Extra Spaces collapses runs of spaces and tabs into a single space. Fix Punctuation inserts line breaks after Chinese terminators (。!?), after Latin sentence terminators (.!?) when followed by an uppercase letter, and adds a trailing space after Chinese commas, semicolons, and colons (,;:). Blank-line runs of three or more are always collapsed to a single blank line and CRLF/CR are normalized to LF.
