Text Sorter
Free online text sorter, no installation required. Sort lines alphabetically, by length, or numerically
About Text Sort
A lightweight text input/output workspace with a monospace editor and a Process button. Paste any multiline text into the input card, run Process, and review the echoed result in the output card below. The current build mirrors the input verbatim, so it works best as a staging area for line-by-line text that downstream sort options can be layered onto.
How to Use
1. Type or paste your text into the Input textarea (10 rows, monospace). 2. Click the Process button. 3. Review the result in the Output card that appears below. 4. The output area only renders after the first successful Process run.
Input & Output Behavior
Both cards use a 10-row monospace Textarea so alignment of columns and indented text is preserved. The Process handler currently assigns the input value directly to the output state, so the result is a character-for-character echo of what you submitted. Use this stage to prepare content before applying your own transformations elsewhere, or watch for future sort controls (ascending/descending, line length, numeric, shuffle) layered onto the same handler.
▶Why does the output look identical to my input?
▶What is the maximum amount of text I can paste?
▶Can I copy the output to the clipboard?
▶Will sort modes like ascending or by line length be added?
