About ASCII Art Text
Renders short strings as 7-row block ASCII art using a built-in A-Z glyph table. Type up to 20 characters, pick a single fill character, and the tool emits seven lines of large lettering in a monospace pre block ready to copy. Any character outside A-Z (including digits and punctuation) renders as a blank glyph.
How to Use
1. Enter your text in the Text field (max 20 characters; auto-uppercased). 2. Set the Fill Char (single character, defaults to #). 3. Review the seven-line ASCII output in the Result card. 4. Click Copy to copy the full block to your clipboard.
Glyph Set & Fill Character
Only uppercase A through Z plus space have glyphs; lowercase input is converted to uppercase, and any unsupported character (digits, symbols, non-Latin) falls back to the space glyph, producing a blank column. Each glyph is 7 rows tall and 5-6 columns wide plus a trailing space, and every # in the glyph template is replaced by your chosen Fill Char, so you can use *, @, █, or any single character. The output is recomputed live via useMemo, so edits to text or fill character update instantly without a button click.
