BLAKE Hash
Free online BLAKE hash generator, no installation required. Calculate BLAKE2b and BLAKE2S hash values with key, salt, and custom output length
What is BLAKE Hash?
BLAKE2 and BLAKE3 are modern cryptographic hash functions designed by Jean-Philippe Aumasson et al. BLAKE2 is a high-performance alternative to MD5, SHA-1, SHA-2, and SHA-3, offering faster speed than SHA-256 with equivalent security. BLAKE3 is the successor to BLAKE2, supporting parallel processing and more flexible output lengths.
BLAKE2b vs BLAKE3
BLAKE2b: Optimized for 64-bit platforms with output length up to 512 bits. Suitable for general hashing scenarios. BLAKE3: Supports parallel processing, scalable output length, and tree hashing. Faster than BLAKE2, especially suitable for big data and multi-core processing.
Use Cases
File integrity verification, data deduplication, password storage (with salt), blockchain technology, digital signatures, message authentication codes (HMAC), etc. Due to their high speed and security, BLAKE algorithms are increasingly used in various security-sensitive applications.
