Currency Denomination Calculator

This tool breaks any amount into the minimum number of banknotes and coins for a chosen currency, using a greedy largest-first algorithm. It supports 12 currencies (USD, CNY, EUR, JPY, GBP, KRW, HKD, TWD, THB, VND, INR, RUB) and offers both a single-amount mode and a batch mode that summarizes denominations across multiple entries at once.

1. Pick a currency from the dropdown. 2. Switch to the Single tab to enter one amount, or the Batch tab to enter several amounts separated by newlines, commas, or semicolons. 3. In batch mode you may prefix each amount with a label (for example 'Alice 125' or 'Salary 3500'). 4. Press Calculate and review the per-denomination counts, the total pieces, and (in batch mode) the cross-row summary plus a per-row breakdown. 5. Use Copy on a batch row to copy its breakdown to the clipboard.

Each currency uses its real circulating denominations. Examples: USD spans $100 down to 1 cent; CNY includes 100 yuan down to 1 fen (with 5 jiao and 1 jiao); EUR covers 500 to 1 cent; JPY is integer-only from 10000 to 1; KRW from 50000 to 10; VND from 500000 to 200. The tool handles decimal-aware arithmetic per currency's decimalPlaces (0 for JPY/KRW/TWD/VND/INR/RUB, 2 for the rest) so fractional rounding stays correct.
