About the Decision Matrix
A weighted-scoring, multi-criteria decision tool. Add your options, define evaluation criteria and assign each a weight, score every option against each criterion, and the tool automatically calculates the weighted totals and ranks the best choice.
How to Use
1. Add two or more options (for example Product A, Product B, Product C). 2. Define your evaluation criteria and set a weight (1–10) for each — a higher weight means that criterion is more important. 3. In the scoring grid, score each option (1–10) against every criterion. 4. Click Calculate Scores to see the weighted results, ranked from best to worst.
Common Use Cases
• Product comparison — compare competing products by price, quality, features, and support. • Software selection — evaluate tools or platforms by ease of use, cost, integrations, and scalability. • Hiring decisions — score candidates on experience, skills, cultural fit, and communication. • Vendor evaluation — rank suppliers by reliability, price, delivery time, and service quality. • Personal choices — choose a school, apartment, travel destination, or major purchase.
