Online OCR
Free online OCR text recognition, no installation required. Extract text from images
About OCR Online
Extracts text from images using Tesseract.js running entirely in the browser. It accepts any image file via upload, drag-and-drop, or clipboard paste (Ctrl+V), and supports 10 recognition languages: English, Simplified Chinese, Traditional Chinese, Japanese, Korean, French, German, Spanish, Russian, and Arabic.
How to Use
1. Click the drop zone, drag an image onto it, or paste from the clipboard. 2. Pick a recognition language from the dropdown. 3. Click Recognize and watch the progress bar. 4. Review the extracted text and its confidence score, then click Copy.
Languages & Confidence
Language packs are fetched on demand by Tesseract.js, so the first run for a language downloads its trained data and may take longer. The result card shows the engine's confidence percentage alongside the text — low confidence usually means a blurry, low-contrast, or stylized source image.
