Pdf To Text

PDF to Text pulls the text out of a PDF document and gives you clean, editable plain text. It runs in your browser with pdf.js, so your file never leaves your device. Great for copying content out of PDFs, feeding text into search or analysis tools, or making documents readable on any device.

1. Select a .pdf file with the file picker 2. Click Extract Text to read the document 3. Copy the extracted text or download it as a .txt file 4. Paste the plain text wherever you need it

The tool reads the PDF's embedded text layer, so it works best with PDFs created from a text source (Word, export, print-to-PDF). Scanned PDFs that are images of pages have no text layer and need OCR first. Extraction returns the raw text in reading order; complex columns and tables may not line up perfectly.
