About Mind Map Editor
A canvas-based mind map editor that renders nodes on an HTML5 canvas with bezier connections. It supports pan and zoom (0.2x to 3x), drag-to-move nodes, a 10-color palette, undo/redo history, auto tree layout, fullscreen mode, named saves stored locally (IndexedDB), and PNG export. Nodes are parented in a tree; deleting a node deletes its whole subtree.
How to Use
1. Start from the seeded map (a central topic with three branches) or build your own. 2. Select a node by clicking it. Use Add Child or Add Sibling in the toolbar, or press Tab to add a child. 3. Double-click any node (or select it and press Enter) to rename it. 4. Drag a node to reposition; drag empty canvas to pan; scroll to zoom. 5. Use Auto Layout to re-flow the tree, the color swatch to cycle colors, and Save to name and persist the map.
Keyboard Shortcuts and Toolbar
Shortcuts (listed under the canvas): Tab adds a child to the selected node, Enter edits the selected node text, Delete/Backspace removes the selected node and its descendants, Ctrl+Z undoes, Ctrl+Shift+Z redoes, mouse wheel zooms. The root node cannot be deleted. Toolbar also exposes Add Sibling (disabled with no selection), Change Color, Auto Layout, Save, Download (PNG named mindmap.png), and Fullscreen.
