Split Bill Calculator

Split Bill Calculator divides a bill total (plus optional tax and tip) among multiple people using one of three split modes: equal shares, custom amounts, or percentage shares. It computes subtotal, tax, tip, grand total, and each person's contribution.

1. Enter Total amount, optional Tax % and Tip %. 2. Pick a split type (Equal, Custom, Percentage). 3. Add people with the Add Person link; for Custom enter each person's base amount, for Percentage enter each person's percent. 4. Click Calculate to see subtotal, tax, tip, total, and per-person amounts.

Tax and tip are both computed on the subtotal: total = subtotal + subtotal×tax% + subtotal×tip%. Equal mode divides the grand total evenly across all people. Custom mode sums each person's entered amount, computes ratio = total / customSum, and returns amount × ratio for each person (so shares track the entered weights). Percentage mode multiplies the grand total by each person's percent value (entered in their name field) divided by 100; percentages do not need to sum to 100. All currency is displayed in USD with two decimals.
