How to Use the World Clock
The world clock shows current time across multiple time zones simultaneously. Add cities or time zones by searching, and remove cities you no longer need. This is useful for scheduling meetings across time zones, coordinating with remote teams, and tracking time in different locations.
Understanding Time Zones
Time zones are regions that observe a uniform standard time. They are defined by their offset from UTC (Coordinated Universal Time). Most time zones are offset by whole hours (UTC+1, UTC+5), but some use 30-minute or 45-minute offsets (UTC+5:30 for India, UTC+5:45 for Nepal).
▶What is UTC?
UTC (Coordinated Universal Time) is the primary time standard by which the world regulates clocks. It is essentially the same as GMT (Greenwich Mean Time) but is more precisely defined using atomic clocks.
▶Does this account for daylight saving time?
Yes, the tool uses your browser's time zone database which includes daylight saving time transitions. Times are automatically adjusted when DST starts or ends.
