About Chinese Converter
Converts text between Simplified and Traditional Chinese character sets using an embedded character mapping. Six conversion modes are available: Simplified to Traditional, Traditional to Simplified, Simplified to Taiwan, Simplified to Hong Kong, Traditional to Taiwan, and Traditional to Hong Kong. The mapping covers common characters and replacements run character-by-character without altering non-mapped text.
How to Use
1. Open the Mode dropdown and choose one of the six conversion directions. 2. Paste your Chinese text into the Input textarea. 3. Click Convert. 4. Review the Output textarea and click Copy to copy it.
Conversion Modes & Mapping
Simplified to Traditional substitutes each mapped simplified character with its traditional counterpart using a fixed dictionary (e.g. 个→個, 国→國, 书→書). Traditional to Simplified uses the reverse mapping built from the same dictionary. Simplified to Taiwan and Simplified to Hong Kong currently apply the same simplified-to-traditional substitution as a base layer. Traditional to Taiwan and Traditional to Hong Kong pass the input through unchanged because the source is already traditional. Characters absent from the dictionary are left as-is, so rare or specialized vocabulary may not convert.
