About Gratitude Journal
This tool is a private gratitude journal that saves your entries in the browser's local IndexedDB store via the shared tool-data helper. Each saved entry records its full text and the date it was written, and the list persists across sessions on this device. You can add a new entry any time and delete individual past entries.
How to Use
1. Type what you are grateful for into the textarea under Today. 2. Click Save; the entry is prepended to your history and a toast confirms it was stored. 3. Past entries appear below with their formatted date (year, month, day) and full content. 4. Click the X button on any entry to delete it permanently from local storage.
Storage and Privacy
Entries are stored under the 'gratitude-journal' key in your browser's IndexedDB through the getToolData/setToolData helpers from src/lib/db. The entry id is the ISO timestamp and the displayed date is produced from toLocaleDateString with year/month/day formatting. Nothing is synced to the cloud, so entries are device-local; clearing the browser's site data or switching devices will not carry them over.
