About Markdown Table
This tool is a visual grid editor for Markdown tables. You set the row and column counts, type header and cell values directly into the grid, choose a per-column alignment, and toggle whether the first row is rendered as the header. The Markdown source updates live in a preview panel with Copy and Clear actions.
How to Use
1. Under Table Settings, set the Rows (1-50) and Columns (1-20) numbers, or use the Add Row / Remove Row / Add Column / Remove Column buttons. 2. Toggle the First row is header checkbox to control whether the top row becomes the Markdown header. 3. In the Table Editor grid, type into each cell; for header cells, click the alignment icon to cycle Left, Center, or Right. 4. Read the generated Markdown in the Markdown Preview panel; use Copy to copy it or Clear to empty every cell.
Alignment and Delimiter Output
Each column has its own alignment, cycled by clicking the alignment icon in the header cell. The generated delimiter row reflects the alignment per column: left-aligned columns produce '---', centered columns produce ':--:', and right-aligned columns produce '--:'. With the header toggle on, the first row is emitted as the header followed by the delimiter row and then the body rows; with it off, every row is emitted as a body row with no delimiter. Cell contents are trimmed before being written into the Markdown.
