About Martian Converter
This tool converts between standard Simplified Chinese and Martian script (the slang that replaces common characters with visually similar rare or variant forms). It runs in two directions via a mode switch: Chinese to Martian replaces common characters with their Martian equivalents, and Martian to Chinese reverses the substitution.
How to Use
1. Type or paste your text into the Input area (Chinese for Martian output, or Martian text for Chinese output). 2. Choose the Mode radio button: To Martian or To Chinese. 3. Click Convert to apply the substitution. 4. Read the converted text in the Output area and click Copy to copy it.
Substitution Dictionary
Conversion uses a fixed built-in dictionary of roughly 50 high-frequency characters plus a few common multi-character words (for example 'hello'-style greetings). Common single-character mappings include first-person, second-person, third-person pronouns, common verbs and particles, question and modal particles, and degree adverbs. Because the dictionary is small and hand-curated, any character not listed passes through unchanged, so specialized or rare text will only be partially converted. The Martian-to-Chinese direction is the exact inverse of the forward map.
