Meta Tag Generator

Meta Tag Generator builds a ready-to-paste block of HTML head tags from form inputs. It emits charset, viewport, title, description, keywords, author, robots, canonical link, and a basic set of Open Graph tags (og:type, og:title, og:description, og:image), and provides a live character counter for the description with color-coded feedback against the 160-character sweet spot.

1. Fill in the Basic Info fields: Page Title, Meta Description (watch the live count), Keywords, and Author. 2. Choose a Robots policy from the dropdown (Index/Follow, No Index/Follow, Index/No Follow, or No Index/No Follow). 3. Use the checkboxes to include or omit the viewport and charset tags. 4. Under Open Graph, set Canonical URL, OG Type (website or article), and OG Image URL, then click Generate. The output appears in the Meta Tags card and can be copied with the Copy button.

The Meta Description field shows a live counter in the form N / 160. The counter color signals quality: muted while empty, muted again for 1-149 characters (under-filled), green at 150-160 characters (the recommended length), and red above 160 characters (truncated by most search engines). Use the counter to fine-tune descriptions before generating.
