About Pair Picker
Pair Picker shuffles a list of names and groups them into two-person pairs. If the list has an odd number of items, the leftover person is placed in a pair marked (bye). Each generation produces a fresh random pairing using a Fisher-Yates shuffle.
How to Use
1. Enter one item per line in the Items textarea (at least 2 items required). 2. Click Generate Pairs. 3. To re-roll with the same list, click Shuffle Again. 4. Click Copy in the results header to copy all pairs as a numbered list in "#1 A ↔ B" format.
Bye Handling & Odd Counts
Pairs are formed by iterating the shuffled list in steps of 2. When the count is odd, the final unpaired item is rendered with a dash and a (bye) marker, both on screen and in the copied text (e.g. "#3 Sam — (bye)"). There is no minimum or maximum list size beyond the 2-item floor; very large lists simply produce many pairs.
