Text Indent

Adds or removes leading indentation from each line of text. Choose between spaces or tabs and set the indent size (1–8), then apply Indent to prepend the indent or Unindent to strip leading whitespace.

1. Set Indent Type to Spaces or Tabs. 2. Set Indent Size (1 to 8). 3. Paste your text into the Input box. 4. Click Indent to add leading whitespace, or Unindent to remove it. 5. Use Copy in the output header to copy the result.

Indent first trims the leading whitespace of each line, then prepends the chosen indent string (that many spaces or tabs). Blank lines are left untouched. Unindent removes all leading whitespace from every line regardless of the configured type or size, normalizing each line to start at column zero.
