About Word to HTML
Word to HTML converts a Microsoft Word (.docx) document into clean HTML that you can preview, copy, or download. It runs entirely in your browser using the mammoth library, so your document never leaves your device. Great for repurposing Word content for websites, email templates, or CMS editors.
How to Use
1. Click the upload area or drag a .docx file onto it 2. Press Convert to turn the document into HTML 3. Switch between the Preview tab to see the rendered page and the Source tab to read the raw HTML 4. Review the stats panel (paragraphs, images, tables, headings, lists) 5. Click Download to save a styled .html file, or Copy HTML to paste it elsewhere
Tips for Best Results
Only modern .docx files are supported; legacy .doc files should be saved as .docx first. mammoth focuses on clean, semantic HTML, so visual effects such as text boxes, fonts, and complex page layout may be simplified or dropped, while headings, lists, tables, and images are preserved. If a document looks off, convert it and then refine the HTML by hand.
